Card Trades are Fun - Especially When You Get a Hug!

I love when our FSJ family gets together for so many reasons. Mainly because the other Journey Coaches are a part of my extended family. I just love them all!

One of the things we can participate in is a trade. The trade for this month's gathering was a HUG TRADE!

It is said that "A card is a hug with a fold in the middle"...Well sometimes you just need a little hug...
A hug is the "signature" card for our Fun Stampers Journey group. They card base is the the size of an ATC (aka Artist Trading Card) 3 1/2 X 2 1/2.
It is a fun challenge to create cards with a smaller base.

The theme for this Hug trade was centered around a technique using re-inkers and the Whip Cream ink pad.

Waterbush Coloring
Stamp your image on to your cardstock base
using Whip Cream ink pad
Using re-inker of your choice, water brush
and fill in your stamped image, blending the Whip Cream ink
together

Completed Technique

I am sharing some of the trades that I received at our gathering. I don't recollect the names of the traders, so if you are stopping by and remember, please let me know and I will make adjustments to the post.

This is my trade
The flower was stamped with the Whip Cream on to Black Licorice cardstock
then water brushed with Summer Days ink

It is always fun to see how the designated theme is used in so many different ways to create some great projects.
