ON THE ROAD AGAIN... ARLINGTON TEXAS
As I begin to share my next travels I am reminded of the Irving Berlin lyrics of...There's No Business Like Show Business...
There's no business like show business
Like no business I know
Everything about it is appealing...
A midst the hard work of getting ready for a show (EXPO) there is indeed an anticipation and excitement as all of the vendors set up their booths getting ready to showcase their many great products.
This past week I/we traveled to Arlington Texas for the Great American Scrapbook Show.
Setting up a booth can be an all day event that takes everyone working together to make it all happen. We have the show booth floor along with the classrooms that all need set up. I am so proud to be a part of an amazing team of hard workers who love working together. Work? YES! Fun? Without question!

Thank you Texas for a great show! I give you a standing ovation!
Hugs!

A Warm Welcome To My Newest Fun Stampers Journey Team Members
As we get closer the the Fun Stampers Journey website launch on June 3rd, I am excited about being on the ground floor of this amazing business opportunity.
I get to work with so many wonderful crafters. At a recent function, I was able to welcome two new members to my team.
I have had the privilege of knowing Sharon for many, many years. We raised kids together, so you can imagine there are many memories that we share together. Mary Jo, is a dear lady who I was introduced to at an event over a year ago and she is fun and fired up and ready to get started when the FSJ opportunity launches. Nancy, brings a lot of experience with her passion for paper crafting to our team.
I count myself blessed to be amongst such beautiful and talented ladies. Welcome to our team ladies!

Novi Michigan - Mega Meet Show
The FSJourney Crew attended the Mega Meet in Novi, Michigan on May 8 -10, 2014. Michigan crafters are enthusiastic and love to scrapbook and stamp. Our make-n-take tables were busy, busy, busy. I really love how people react to our products for the very first time. I consistently hear that they love our ink pads/colors and our Journey Glaze and stamps. I am so lucky to be able to work with and offer such great products.

Make-n-Take |
After set up the day before the show, the team spent dinner time together before sending our tired bodies to bed. I'm so lucky to get to work with such great, hard working people.
On Saturday evening after the last day of the event, we hosted an opportunity night for anyone who wanted to hear more about the FSJ opporunity. Our guests were able to create a fun make-n-take, have some very yummy refreshments and hear from the President and Co-Founder of FSJ. A very nice, intimate gathering.

Happy Mother's Day - An opportunity to remember, share and honor my mom...
Happy Mother's Day to all who share the title of mom!
Although it is a day that I cherish and look forward to hearing from my children (yes, I am blessed), it is also a day (but not the only day), that I give tribute to the woman who gave me life and whom I miss with all of my heart...my mom! Sadly, "mom" has been gone for several years.
A little while back, I was playing around with a video slideshow program for the first time when I made this very quick video clip. I was mostly practicing the combination of adding photos and audio together, not thinking that I would ever share it. I am almost embarrassed by the audio, but not enough to not share my memories of my beautiful mom.
Mom, I love you! Mom, I miss you!

Happy Cinco De Mayo and Orlando Florida Scrapbook Expo - Sharing the Journey
Happy Cinco De Mayo Everyone!
While in Orlando Florida at the Scrapbook Expo, we continued to share the FSJourney with others.

I love sharing our exclusive and soon to be released products with others |
After a busy and long day...this is where I got to lay my head |
![]() |
We then went to the Animal Kingdom - I LOVED the tour ride. We were right next to the animals. This zebra could care less about a tour bus full of humans. |

To help celebrate Cinco De Mayo I thought it was fitting for me to help celebrate the day by doing my part by eating some salsa and chips prior to my flight home |

An Easter Card Trade
I like to participate in card trades, because it gives me yet another reason to play with my stamps, inks and papers. It also lets me be lucky enough to receive happy mail from others who are participating in the same trade.
So how does it work? I create a designated project a certain amount of times and commit to send them to others by a certain date. In return, I receive a handmade project from others who also commit to do the same.
The theme for the most recent card trade was creating an Easter Card. There was no question in my mind which stamp set I was going to use. I love the Fun Stampers Journey ATS (Artist Trading Stamp), He is Risen.
The only question was which technique should I use? After several attempts that just did not work out, decided on using a technique that I fell in love with several years ago. When I first learned about Pyramage online, but I don't know who to credit for this (If you know who I should give credit to, please let me know). The technique consists of using the same shape in varying sizes. Well...let me tell you that the Spellbinders Nesstabilities dies worked perfectly. I selected one of the labels dies.
I stamped the same image on to 4 pieces of cardstock and then started using the dies to cut out the images starting with the smallest die first. I then layered them on top of each other using foam squares, assuring that I matched up the top image to the lower image.
I was pleased with the outcome of the cards and will likely use this stamping process again. My goal is to create a tutorial on the process, next time

All three cards |
using printed cardstock as card base |
This is my favorite card - I used a printed cardstock for the base, but think this could easily be re-created by using a would grain stamp image |
This is the third card created. They have all been sent to one of the trade recipients I hope they liked their card |

January is National "Thank You" Month
Merci, grazie, danke, gracias, thank you! No matter how you say thank you...January is the Nationally recognized thank you month.
I grew up being taught the basic courtesies of saying please and thank you and am so pleased to find out that there is a designated month set aside to remind us the importance of being thankful.
January is also the month of new beginnings. So...what if each of us started a new tradition that kept us being mindful of being thankful this month and all year long? As one of my new beginnings I am going to send at least one thank you card to a family member/friend, etc, every month to let them know that I appreciate them for something they have done for me.
Here are some additional ideas to help you remember the things that you are thankful for:

- Do something nice for someone to let them know how much you appreciate them.
- Remember to thank those you may have just met.
- Write someone a thank you note, or send an email telling them you are thankful for something they did for you
- Do something nice for someone else - kind of like a "pay-it-forward" project
- Make a thankful journal and write one thing, or more per day that you are thankful for
Here is a copy of my thank you card that I will be sending to someone for the month of January.
Thank You for taking the time to stop by today and take a look at my project. I appreciate you!
Blessings,

Fun Stampers Journey - Quarterly Meeting
January 4, 2014
I love our Fun Stampers Journey Quarterly Meetings. It's my time to get together with some amazing Journey Coaches, whom are all dear friends. Now that I have moved to Phoenix, AZ I don't get to see them as much, so I really cherish these gathering times.
After breakfast we went to our meeting location just a few blocks away and got started on our projects. We created these 4 beautiful cards using the New Hostess Stamp Set which can be earned (FREE) with a qualifying FSJ show. This Prim Holiday set is just perfect for my liking and if it's to your liking...asking me how you can receive it FREE! You will notice that each of the card layouts are the same. The only thing changed on each card is the background stamp, greeting and the Prim Holiday stamp used.
We had 4 AMAZING organized trades - Spring Card, Gift Bag, 6X6 recipe card layout, 2014 Calendar layout. I will share pictures of these projects in another post.
During the business part of our meeting, Richard shared exciting news with all of us.
Fun Stampers Journey has just partnered with Spellbinders and I can't be more excited!!! Stacey Caron (President) and Greg Tipsord (CEO) from Spellbinders attended our meeting and shared their inspirational stories with us.
Greg Tipsord is now the CEO and Stacey Caron is the Vice President of Fun Stampers Journey.
Richard and Greg shared their vision for the future of FSJ and boy our Journey is going to get even more exciting!
The day is coming to a close, so I will close this post by saying that I am excited, thrilled and honored to be a part of Fun Stampers Journey. Our future is bright! If you would like to travel the journey with me, please contact me.
Blessings,
Lynn
